Our DIY Craft kits are perfect for those wanting to get creative at home and an alternative to our workshops. Our kits include all the materials you need to get going as well as a step by step guide for direction. Great for home schooling lessons about birds, science and wood working.
What you will get in this kit:
Reclaimed Pallet Wood, cut to size and sanded:
1 x bird box back
1 x bird box front with hole drilled
2 x bird box sides
1 x bird box base with perch space
1 x bird box roof
1 x small Jar of wood glue
1 x reclaimed glue spreader
A bag of pin nails
1 X sheet of sand paper
1 x jam jar of exterior varnish
1 x picture hook
2 x picture hook screws
1 x clout nail for perch
A written step by step guide (with images)
Access to a step by step video tutorial
You will need at home:
A sanding block (optional)
A dust mask
A paint brush
Brush cleaner solution
Small Philips screwdriver.
Your finished, made bird box will be approx (from the largest points) 26cm high x 10-11cm wide x 19cm deep - these measurements are approximate and will depend on the material and pallet boards available.
Our kits are sent through the post, and will include a step by step guide with images and text. We will also record a video tutorial for those of you that are more visual. This is the perfect way to create reclaimed accessories without the work of sourcing, dismantling, de-nailing and cutting your pallets.
We will be using recycled packaging and containers where possible in our kits, this will include recycled newspaper and recycled containers (e.g. jam jars), please continue by recycling after you’ve used.
